Yes, but I hate a slushbox. Usually drive a standard about 3x a week, and even I don't wank the shifter.

There is none, it's just more things for the clutch to do. Double clutching though is only used to rev match the downshifts so you cna match the engine speed to the actual wheel speed. It is unnecessary on synchronized boxes though.

Take two almost identical cars ~ excepting one being an AT and the other being a MT and I'd be willing to wager 99 times out of 100 I could take the auto driving the manual 7 days a week and twice on Sunday.
