Maybe im just lacking sleep I dno.. But I have aftermarket front + Rear components going to a 4 channel amp. Decided to swap head units.. figured easy swap.

-Swapped, plugged in RCA's but only the rear tweeters work on both sides.. no midbass!!!

-Plugged in front RCA's to back channel same problem..

-Plugged in rear rca's to front channel, components work fine!

I really reallllly dont wanna have to take the door pannel off on BOTH SIDES pain in the A$$!! Maybe im missing something and im just tired.. Im positive when I had it hooked up to the previous unit the rear components worked. Im not so positive they worked when I pulled the unit out. Either way I only put them in a couple months ago. Any ideas to save me from pulling the pannels off in the morning?

Thanks

Im confused... lol

You swapped the HU and only rear tweaters work. Are you saying that the front and rear midbass do not work.....or only the rear midbass do not work?

You took the front RCA's and plugged them into the rear...didnt work

You took the rear RCA's and plugged them into the front, and it worked

Are you changing things at the amp or the HU?

Did you plug an RCA into the subwoofer output?

Is the crossover in the radio on (if it has one)?

If the speakers work from 1 connection, I would think your speakers are fine also. Maybe an RCA is bad?

Okay... So let me clarify..

Eclipse AVN52d headunit

4 channel amp Front/Rear

Front aftermarket components, Rear Aftermarket comonents.

-Plug in the new deck, hook up front and rear RCA's only Rear tweeters work front components work fine

-Its not a crossover setting in the deck, because when I hook up the Front RCA's from the unit to the Rear speakers still only the tweeters work in the back vs. when the front are hooked up to the Front speakers the components work fine

-When the Rear RCA's are hooked up to the Rear speakers only the tweeters work.. When unplugged and the REAR RCA's are hooked up to the front speakers, the components work fine. Hence not a internal crossover issue in the unit.

-Off with the door pannels I guess... Thanks guys!

Okay... Follow up. I need some help! So I pulled out one of the rear components and when I unscrewed the woofer wire out of the crossover, one channel was corroded and a bunch of white powder dumped out. I looked at the speaker itself and both + and - on the speakers have the white powder build up. What could have caused this? I know this sounds stupid but I ran over my multimeter so I cant test to see if its blown but I have another one on the way. I ordered one offline.

I dont get it. I installed the rear components a couple months ago. they are the ppi-355cs I got off sonicelectronix. What would have cause the speakers to corrod like that and stop working? I checked for water and didnt see any in the door panel. Its a new 2008 toyota truck...
