some thing scraping sub?

so today i noticed something sounded funny in the trunk, so i popped it, and with music still playing at about half, it sounded like there was something scraping the inside of the sub, i assumed a blown coil, but it didnt smell, or perform like a blown coil. The sub is still "soft" when you push on it and still gets somewhat loud, i had this problem before but it was never this bad. could it be a tinsel lead internally broken? i heard that older L7's have had that problem, i have the 2002 L7's and the rest of my setup is in my sig. thanks.

EDIT: it is only one sub making the noise, the other is fine.
