I have a Jeep Wrangler and I wanted to upgrade the sound all around. I haven't installed anything yet but I have two sets of Polk DB 525's (45 RMS 4 ohm) and a Polk MM2084 (200 RMS 4 ohm). What I'm looking for are two amps to power these. 4 ch for the speakers and either a mono or 2 ch for the sub. I don't want to go spend too much as this is a Jeep and if worst case scenario occurs (equipment gets stolen) I won't be taking a huge hit. I'm in the market for decent amps on a budget, basically. (Willing to go used, refurb...)
I did alot of researching on amps (brands, ratings, ect.) as I'm new to all this. What I found that might match my needs is: 4 ch; Alpine MRP-250, MRP-f200,
MRP-f240. (I don't know the exact differences on those.) And for the Sub: Alpine; MRP-M450; MRP-M350.
I'm not partial to Alpine but they seem to have the ratings that match my setup. Also I've read that sticking to one amp manufacturer all around may be better. Any other suggestions that might work with the sub and speakers I have (brands/models)? Thanks in advance.
