wats up guys, ok this is the scenario....i recently sold my car but i did not sell all of my audio equipment. I had a AQ2200d running 2 RE audio sx 12's which i kept for myself also have the AQ 4 channel. Well my friend bought the 2 AQ's so now i dont know what amp should i choose to power the re's in my new car. I do have a rockford fosgate power1000 that's just collecting dust in my closet. I had it running my whole system in a previous install couple years back and i was wondering do you guys think the monoblock side of the amp has enough power to push those re audio's cause they handle 1000rms each and the birthsheet on the rf is i think 985 @ one ohm. When i had them on the AQ they def hit some db's and i was wondering if u guys think that the power difference is too much for them to sound good on the rf

well, the amount you get out of those subs is really going to be dependant on your enclosure... but i dont think you would notice a huge difference from the AQ to the RF... might not be as nasty under full tilt, but it def wont hurt anything, and shouldnt bee too noticeable. Alot of people think that power is the only thing that will get you loud, but the enclosure is actually more important, IMO

good point, that's what i was thinking but im kinda worried that i might expect more than what the fosgate is gonna put out but it should have enough power to at least play them right?

i have them in a ported enclosure wave design sharing the same air space, no divider prolly bout 3 cubes total maybe i did have the exact measurements sumwhere cant find them right now but i think the re subs require a minimum of 2 cu ft per sub @ 33hz, might have to do a box rebuild

would need to know exact dimensions to tell you for sure bro... how much cubed space you have after displacement, port size, port area (in2), and tuning....

but a box rebuid for a box this size, might cost you 30 bucks max, you know

yea i know **** i cant find those measurements right now but soon as i do i will post them up. Im really trying to just add a sub and amp to my stock system oem integrate for right now surprisingly im kinda happy with the bose in my cadillac, i guess its a first for everything lol
