If i were to get a 200 amp alt, and an optima yellowtop, would that cover about 2500 watts at 2ohms daily? Or should i maybe think about replacing my stock batt with a kinetic or something bigger instead of the optima? OR should i run another battery to the trunk and say **** the alt?

200*14.4=2880 if the amp were 100% efficient and if the alt put out max power at idle.......I will be running a 220 amp alt, with a new interstate under the hood and a yellow top in the trunk, using a KX2500 at 2ohm. I think that I will be fine for the power Im running. Hopefully I can pull 2750wrms

You will definately need the alt and a 2nd battery imo

is it that hard to wire up a second battery to the trunk? Does it matter if the battery in the trunk is bigger than the one under the hood?

nope nope, just run a pos to the pos under the hood, and a neg to the neg under the hood, and be sure to fuse the pos

a 200 amp alt is PLENTY for a 2500 watt amp. Music is dynamic your only going to see full power in short bursts so you will be fine. It never hurts to have more electrical then you need though so if you want to add more go for it!

i have a 200 amp alt, yellowtop, and big 3 and im fine with 3,000 watt sub amp (VFL 200.1) and a JL 300/2v2

NO, just fuse it and wire it like I stated above.......
