ok well im getting a new ride next week. 1998 honda civic lx sedan. i plan on just getting somethin for the trunk for probably 6-9 months then during that period will buy the rest of the items. first of all i have to say i love the lows. want to tune the box to around 31-34 hz. ive previously owned a 15" btl and a 18" mt. im thinking if i really want the lows im going to have to go with a 15". ive looked at the LMS Ultra, DC Audio, the MT and XXX, Sound Splinter Rl-s (it says only optimal is sealed hmm), of course the new BTL coming out, Mach 5 Audio Spl and the new Sundown Nightshade. so starting out im either going to get 2 12's or 1 15" for the trunk then in the 6-9 months stated i will get either 6 more 12's or 5 more 15's to do a wall behind the front seats. i can get close to 22 cubes going from b pillar to just a little going into the trunk. im set on amps gonna go with sundown 3000d's. just can't decide on subs. i like da lows tho

Kinda in the same situation with a similar car. 99' Civic ex 2 door though. I guess it really all depends on how much you're willing to put into it $$$ wise and as far as your building skills. You said you're looking into the LMS Ultra's, if those are in your budget, I'd vote those. 1 Sundown 3k on each would be sick for the lows, especially in a wall. The Btl's will be a great choice as well as they punish the lows and can snap skulls with their upper bass too!

Again, comes down to $$$

yea the LMS looks sick but price wise BTL > LMS.

With that much power the Mach 5 SPL 15" Can take a 3000D each, 2 for burps / comp. Supposed to have killer SQ at volume.

the 12's can handle the power as well and might be better for space.
