The SDC2.5s are only $129 each brand new. And I beleive that includes shipping. I doubt you'll find the Type R new with warranty for much, if any, less.

Do the AQ's.....There was a thread about the new 2.5's being really close to the older HDC's on the meter. Those little suckers put out!

Yeah but for the $150 more than the Rs your getting alot better sub, and your buying direct from DJ not some online internet junkie, go with the AQs there worth the extra $150!! For the warranty, and customer service is worth that alone, your not going to have that with a online store!

In a way yes, but they usually ship in seperate boxes which always cost more than two subs in same box for shipping, but its safer shipping each sub seperate from each other, so its worth it!

I think the AQs are more well-built, and made with better parts. You get a two year manufacturer's warranty instead of the one-year website warranty (good luck getting warranty service from any online retailer). If you're going to beat on these subs with a big amp like that, these are issues you should really think about. The only way you'll get a real warranty on the R is by buying retail.

If you have to pay to replace one or two of the Rs down the road, you won't have saved any money.

i have done installs with both subs and i know the AQ is a far better sub, i just done know if i can swing $600 in subs right now

i just said those were the only subs i had looked at so far
