So i think my zx350.4 crapped out, Help! (pics)

i was driving home from work, had the unit at low volume and all of a sudden it just shuts off..my subs are still on at this point.

when i get home a check the wiring and everything is on secure..so i turn the car back on and the amp protect light just flashes...i set the gains correctly with my dmm..so i installed another POS amp i had laying around and it worked fine.

not sure what it could be, nothing smells burnt and none of the internals were damaged.

and suggestions?

oh yeah, the fuses weren't blown either.
