Your womans' friend needs to rethink that choice, IMO. From what I have been seeing on the news and weather channels, Galveston is supposed to be part of the "landing" zone for Ike.

yea its ****in nutts! my parents live in bay st. louis and the water is doing the same thing over there...we had to move our boat out of the harbor because it had risen so much....I hope the best for yal because I know what its like..

yea i heard that too ,but after New Orleans mayor saying the last hurricane was gona be the worst in history, im sure people are skeptical.

This was directly from the weather officials and CNN reporters seemed concerned to hear something like that coming from them. Anyone with half a brain would know nothing good could come out of being there when that giant storm makes landfall.
