Don't feel bad...I think I ruined my MD22 by setting the gains...somehow the two prongs must have touched or something. I haven't hooked it back up yet because I am waiting on new ground wire from UPS.

I finally got approved to do the options trading. I hope it isn't broke as I don't think I will be doing much more car audio upgrading as I got this new/ more expensive hobby. Atleast this, I have a chance to make some money.

that's weird that your amp went into protect. Did you know what your your load after box rise? I have my hercules wired @ .5 for daily driving. Never had any problems """ knock on wood""""... and there's another guy running a goliath at .5 as well..... pretty weird..

actually, now that i think about it, the mod might be for higher voltage. Team Deaf Wish on usaci's boards use them almost exclusively. I hear AB is now replying to emails and calls now too!

I wasnt aware so many people on CA.com think Hifonics is poo. Aparently not many have used Hifonics. The cleanest power? no. Do they do over rated? no. But they are reliable and tough as shit and cheap as well. Something makes me think the amp was broken before you got it or you hooked something up wrong.

Protect is there for a reason, to protect. If it falls into protect, it should be fine after it cools down and is powered back up. If amps fall into protect and stay there you did something seriously wrong (like a dead short) or it was broken another way.
