so i feel misled...

my amp is only rated @ 2ohms... i run my amp at 1ohm HARD... to the point where you cant hold your hand on it for to long without burning and it takes it like a total champ! even after being repaired like 5 times because of the power terminal being ripped off...

sorry to hear though... how much $$$ are you down?

join the club, atleast you had speakers hooked up to yours, mine just blew in my face, sounded like a gun no lie

if its going in for repair send to CIA engineering because mine is still at amp repair center getting fixed on

yea, thanks man. thats who snoopdan referred me too. ill be contacting a few people tomorrow.

another thing, the hifonics hate really high input voltage.

i know scott (xploit) and brandon (goldtaz) had problems with theres and maxxsonics told them to turn off their line drivers

well im no expert on that, but my eclipse is said to have 8v pre outs, so maybe that contributed... but i had the gain turned ALL THE WAY down, to where the dial read 9v

im no expert or anything, but i always thaught .09 was all the way down and 9 was all the way up //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/uhoh.gif.c07307dd22ee7e63e22fc8e9c614d1fd.gif

technically thats true. But I dont think the seller should be at fault for the guy actually running it at that, when in the manual it only says to go down to 1.
no amp rates down that low, so you have to take someone's word for it. Hell they wont rate the IA 20.1 or AB 100.1 or even the Exile 2400.1 below 1ohm and they all are suppose to run to .25 according to most people on this site. Does that mean you shouldnt run them @ less than 1ohm even though everyone says they do it?

no, .9 would mean the gain was set really high, because your amp would be set for a .9 input and be getting whatever your HU put out, 8v in my case, if you set your gains at 9v with an 8v output, then your amp theoretically wouldnt even be pushed to its limit gain wise

jeepintn i left a message for u in this thread u didnt answer //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif
i dont know where that picture came from... i seen it somewhere on the net and made it my avatar, i dont know where it is now though

I guess I am one lucky bastage then... Goliath worked perfect upon arrival, worked trouble free since, worked fine down to .5 nominal at the speaker with only a single Kinetik Monster.
I must now find plenty of wood to do some knocking!
yes, you are lucky, no need to rub it in //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif
