So, how can I accurately tell how many watts my subs are getting?

So, I've got two 1000/1's now, and until I get new subs, I'm have one on each of my 13w6v2's. They are RMS 750 a piece. So, obviously sending 1000 to one isnt such a good idea. How can I measure exactly how much power is hitting them before maxing it out? Just guesstimate? Like set gains accordingly and then just make max @ 75% of my Head unit volume?

i sent 1k to a 12w6v2 for almost 2 years before i sold the sub and it took it just fine so the 13w6v2 should do 1k just fine.

In your case I wouldn't worry about it.. otherwise either buy a watt meter or a RMS clamp & DMM..

use test tones, step them in 5 or 10 hz steps, do it at a low volumn and plot the impendence.

Or clamp the DC in current and voltage and guess at the amp effiency.
