So, Home Depot has some dumb employees.

I always do my own cuts, I have let HD cut my boxes before and it always ends up off. So now I buy 2 full sheets and have them halve them so I load them in the truck. Saw horses $50, circular saw$100, KNOWING IT IS RIGHT BECAUSE YOU DID IT PRICELESS.

The assholes don't account for the blade. I wish I could use the panel saw while I'm there. Mine are always a blade length different. This one last time is all they get from me when I go for my stuff. Or I may have them half it.

And what I can't believe, is the saw DID have tape measures going horizontally and vertically, yet the guy is still off by 19 freakin inches....

Same shit happened to me. But you gotta do 2 things.
#1Do the measurements youself. Write on the wood at the top where the saw begins to cut. Look thru the shop vac attachment to align the cut.

#2Let the dumb *** run the blade thru.

#3Do It all over again.

Wait thats three thigns
Dumbass

The local lowes/HD near me do a great job....there is a measing tape on the saw, and I point that out when they reach for the tape measure. I do not have a problem throwing the guy a few bucks if they are willing to take the time and cut it where I want it, or have them re do a whole shhet if they mess up.
Dont put lowes and hd in the same sentence.

Home Depot charges for cuts but almost 90% of the time, they'll say its aiite. I aint trippin if their cuts are off but just as long as they are consistent with the measurements.

Damn MDF went up like $4 since last year this time.

i aint gonna lie the cutter is off. i went to a home depot that had a very good employee that knew what he was doing and the cuts were still off. i don't ever recommend letting them do the cuts. however, the cuts buddy made for the thread starter should be fired.

what i use to do is use my own tape measure, mark the length i want with a pencil. Take off the vacuem suction thingy and look thru the tube. Put the blade next to the line, not on the line. Perfect cut every time (usually).

i can't. I am to smalll for that, but i figured out my own way to do it!
it's all about balance. kinda like lifting a ladder. i can carry 2 long sheets of sheet rock. i think the measurement is 5 X 20 3/4 . now that shite is heavy!
