D isnt digital....its a class of amp to drive your subs

Are Class D amps "digital"? It depends what you mean by "digital"; to me, that means no DAC in the system. As far as I know, there is no system without a digital-to-analog converter. Pioneer ODR cheesily claimed "digital" but the DACs were inside the amps.

The Alpine Accuclass D amps ARE truly digital inside. All the crossover etc is done in the digital domain. But there is no digital input (technically possible, but too expensive and too few optic out head units to match), so the input is an analog to digital converter.
