smelling gas in my car ??

Speaking off gas smells, I got passed yesterday by a 70's Camaro with a massive blower sticking out of the hood. His exaust smelled so bad of gas I laughed my *** at him at the next stoplight. Talk about rinning rich! You could see a hazy cloud behind this car!

Your problem might be similar to that. Check your fuel mixture/ or that your engine is tuned properly.

I'm thinking my filler tube might be ****ed... I get horrible MPG, and the gas smell is stronger when I first fill up the tank, then it gradually goes away until the next fillup - but I have yet to spot any drips when filling/idling/parked. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/furious.gif.fc81ca146dbff91fede3ed290dbc4f4c.gif

My car may be running lean or rich not sure, my exhaust smells funni tho, no clouds of black smoke tho i you know what i mean.

this happened to me, it happened to be that the top of my tank was rusting. i have also had a bad filler neck, but you would know if it was that because gas would spill while filling the tank.

i was beating car hard around the city, tonight, raced a hond crx a bmw 3 series n a eclipse dunt no what model (removd tags) but won all 3 races. Any way i never noticd any gas smells or any thing really, car ran really well..guess it was one of those 1 time things. thx for every who postd

When you smelled the gas had you just overfilled the gastank with gas maybe?

Found out the problem, the stupid exxon gas pumper guy, didnt screw in my cap all the way at all when i open up my gas tank it was off //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/mad.gif.c18f003ab0ef8a0d9c27ca78d77a6392.gif its aite tho,glas it wasnt any thing big.

Nope, does it even when I stop before the auto shutoff... Going to give all the sensors + fuel system a good look over tomarrow to try and isolate the cause.

haha i mean its kool tho,you never have to get out your car at all. " 10 dollars plus please" and bam ur done. When im down south i enter a gas station and wait by the pumps..just siting there for couple minutes, " where the F@#K is the gas guy" Wtf i got to pump my own gas ?!
