SMD VM1 install to Amp?

Hey guys so I just got a SMD VM1 (volt meter) and I need a little help, don't want to burn it out.

instructions are:

Voltage sense wire = RED

Turn on trigger = White

Ground = Black

The Red must go on + on amp, and the black (ground) to negative on amp. Does the White wire (Trigger on) go on remote ?

And I've searched google and youtube with no luck.

Yes remote connect it with amp remote. But id ground it on its own ground point though not on amp.

White goes to the remote wire. Also L.e.d. volt meters tend to be really bright at night. Id run a switch between the positive so you can turn it on and off. If it doesnt already have an on/off function.

Ok my thinking on the ground to the amp was because my amp ground wire runs under my truck and grounded to my frame.

Ok my thinking on the ground to the amp was because my amp ground wire runs under my truck and grounded to my frame.

that sounds like a long ground. with something so small i guess a self tapping screw will be fine. you can use the amp as a ground but its not right. i had my volt meter like that for a while
