I have a huge 88 Isuzu Trooper=36sq.ft. box. I can't even feel a bit of spl from my system even with all my windows up:( I'll bet i could seal my truck and put a couple RFL's sticking out the back door and they would work perfect....idea:)

36 sq ft box???????? is your cabin even that big????? lol do you have an enclosed trailer and have your 36 sq ft box in there maybe thats why you cant hear it...

Saying that smaller cars are louder because there's less air to be compressed is only a half truth. If small spaces were that much easier to to compress, everyone would put systems in single cab Ford Rangers //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif My truck has about a third of the cabin space of a CRX, but because of the acoustic signature of the CRX, it would be louder with the same setup.

Acoustic signature plays a huge part in how loud a vehicle is capable of getting. The position of the seats, the angle of the back glass and windshield as well as the shape of the cabin are major factors.

As a general FYI, the best acoustic signature can be found in small hatchbacks like CRX's, Civic Hatch's and Geo Metro Hatchbacks. That's why these cars are widely used on the major SPL circuts. Some cars (and trucks) simply have bad acoustics and will limit the amount of SPL the vehicle is capable of producing.

if your car does have bad acoustics... is there anyway of altering something for better acoustics?????

did i really sound that good??!

That's how it was explained to me by jim hudnall, just with a little more eloquence on my part //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

If the back seat of your baretta or corsica folds down, you're in good shape

my g/f has a 91 baretta, and it does about 2db's less with my sealed box in the trunk than what my truck does with it behind the seats.

[

smaller cars have no room for even the least bass there for it cover the car and has no wear els to go but out your can and

to be heard blocks away cause basicly your car acts as a sub box it self i have a 77 lac witch is a battle ship i

wish i could stick my friends little honda in my trunk so i could throw out some mad bass LOL
