Small sub, but want big bass!

You can get louder with two 8's over the one. Cone area makes a huge difference. I still agree with the others though, if you want loud and low bass, you'll want a properly built ported box.

Yes, I will defintely do ported. I kind of figured the two would be better than one. Just didn't know if the SA-8 was that bada$$ and could out do the two subs!

well the jl are 150rms, to where the sa-8 is 400rms. so you tell me which you think could possibly be better. i donno if i'd face it forward tho. just if anybody sits back there, you gotta be sure their feet won't kick em. if you've already got the jl's here's a site for some boxes.

as much as i hate to admit it ive heard good things about the jl w7-8's

If the same price. I say go with the JL's considering your situation.

You can always sell ze w3's but if you get a proper box i feel like you'll be satisfied.

They could prob take a lot more then your amp is putting out depending if they are v2's or v4's tho.

Compromises can go a long ways towards reaching your goal. Placing a shallow mount sub in a small sealed box and expecting a lot of low end output is simply not being realistic. Its time to start looking at a compromise, either in space requirements, or output expectations.
