What affects does having the slot port on driver, passenger or centered have on spl and sq? Does it really make a difference?

design will dictate placement but if designs permits center will strengthen your enclosure

For SPL it depends on the car and meter location. All in the testing. Build, meter, build again.

Are u asking this question because your contemplating a change in a specific vehicle, or as a general question? Since each vehicle is different, there's going to be a big difference.... (hence install dependant)....

What type of vehicle, what subs, what amp, and what's your goals?

Really just a general question out of curiosity. I will be making a box for daily and was just wondering if it really made any significant difference. Was debating on just going with the port on the side like normal or as I've seen other have the port span the entire length of the bottom. MDF is very expensive where I live so I won't be making multiple boxes.

Also say if I wanted to change my design from side port to center. If my original design was one left side 10'' wide port, 20'' long (no bends). If I wanted to make it center can I make the port 10'' wide in the center with two boards 10'' long as the port? Will that be the same thing?
