SketchUp Install

I am seeing this software being used consistently and figured I would give it a go and play around with it.

My question is did anyone else have to temporarily disable any antivirus/spyware software to install SketchUp? I seem a little miffed about this but I gather it is so that their installer can have free reign installing or overwriting drivers.
