So I know their name is trashed and no one buys their product or recommends them anymore because of the shady business practices but what about the actual products. Used ones pop up now and then and im curious. Are they any good

I used a pair of ma8s that were actually pretty decent subs. From what I can tell, most disagree with the owners character, but those that have used the products were usually pleased for the most part. One of the main problems was the selling of bstock as brand new, and some mucked up 'enclosure' building.

We sell Skar in the shop i do some sidework/contracting work for. I made fun of them regularly using the term that became popular on here because of their shady dealings early on in their lifespan. I will tell you, it's not bad stuff. Would i put it in the same realm as Sundown, DD, DC? Heck no. But for what it is, it's pretty good. I'll be doing a pretty big setup in the next week with some of their stuff, if i get time i'll post pics.

SK amps are stout, vvx v1 subs were good...quality has gone downhill since

They have been behaving and trying to salvage their image for the past few years and their products are clones of the good stuff so its just another brand imo.

i wouldnt suggest the txl if you go anywhere near that route. thats enough for me to know they dont know what there doing

I've used a lot of products. Pretty good stuff, prices are usually great on the second hand market!

Yea because they are "sundown clones". I would run them no problem but I do not support the owner..

when you get a bunch of B listed products for brand new pricing, its a product based issue.
