Skar vvx 15"?

What kind of power are people putting to these? Any reviews or anything to help me out? Wanting to do 2 aq 1200's strapped. Is that to much power?
Way too much. The sub is only rated at 600 rms and only a 2.5" coil.

At most I'd put is 1500 to one, but even that's really pushing it. I run about 900 or so to each of my VVX 10s.

If you are wanting to run 2400 watts, I'd look into a much beefier subwoofer, definitely at least a 3" coil.

Sorry just read my post over, I wanted two aq 1200s on 2 skar vvx 15's not one. Sorry for the misunderstanding

Ohhh lol, yeah you should be fine with those on those subs as long as you don't send a clipped signal. If they do get hot, just back off the gain a bit.

They look like a good sub. And I have heard people over powering them but didnt know by how much. Thanks

I completely understand the disadvantage of running 2 AQ1200D's strapped, but what is the advantage vs just running the AQ2200D at 1ohm?
Running two 1200's Im hoping to get a little more power but honestly its probably going to eventually be one amp. Something like an aq2200 or saz2500. I just got a good deal on the 1200's local so thats what im doing right now.

I have a skar 12 that I'm running 1600 watts on 1ohm and it's been taking it great no issues at all the sub only gets a little warm after playing for a long time. I think you'll be fine as long as you don't clip the signal

by all means, if you can do 2 1200's for a lot less than 1 2200, then do it. As far as power, you might squeeze another 10% over 1 2200D....that would be like maybe a .5 db gain on a meter, all else being equal. I seriously doubt you would be able to detect the difference by ear though.

I'd say snag a recone kit from SPLAudio with some modified parts, running my vvx15 off the SK1500.1 (not sure on box rise since it was a daily beater and it changed) I had it running on 1ohm (1690rms) in an 8.5cft box, the coil is still copper, still reads 2.3/2.4 per coil, but I do have to say, my spiders are kind of soft? they're not all that stiff (if this means the break in point)
