Skar EVL 18 VS. SSA ICON

Give me some measurments i can get you in the 150s with a fi 18 and that 3.5. Its really abit much for it but its perfect power for comps..
I just use my setup for daily but I want it loud

I most certainly wouldn't be going back to that shop again. Any 15 needs approx 4-6 cu ft. to work with. And...I bet if you look on the website of those 15's they give optimum suggestion for airspace.

The reason why i don't build a bigger box is because I took it too my box builder and he said the output is what is should be and I have the proper air space and he said since they are not sa15 building a bigger box would kinds hurt my current setup so I'm just going with 2 18s on 2k and that should be my last setup for along time

So your gonna go with 18's that NEED more airspace than 15's. Smart move.

I try everyday to tech you guys the drivers parameters and how they correlate into real-world situations and how you can use it to design the right box for the driver along with designing the right alignment for your cabin

Some advice is golden... some...well... I'd be less inclined to install a single driver at over it's max power for a daily... those guys that say to do this may mean well and have something to prove... lol! But if it was my $$$ I'd get a pair of 1250 watt $250 15's and put them in a proper enclosure... You said that you are wanting to play those lows... tune low... 32hz maybe 30 hz... don't worry too much about the 3.5K amp... box rise will take care of that.

Fixed. You don't need to keep teaching us anything. But you could teach yourself to spell correctly.

I was under tge assumption that his budget was about 300. From what i understood he was comparing one 15 - 1 18. If he can afford to get to drivers I would suggest 2 15 over 1 18.

1 driver is generally easier to tweek and tune ut cone area usially dominates that when the situation is ideal.

After rise he will see around 2200 the fi ssd with the cooling and 8 layer coil will handle 2k unclipped

Your onto something. Takes this guys advice, OP. You may not have enough airspace for 18's anyway. If it were me, get a pair of 15's contact Stang for a design, and start building. Learn from us, not that stupid shop you went to.
