So. I want the absolute best for my future Skar VVX15. This is Skar's custom ported box specifically made for the VVX 15 at 32hz

They are charging $120 for the box. My question is do you think I could get a better ported box for the same price or less? Or atleast the same box at a lower price? I'll assume if you reply to this post that you can, that you will indeed make a better box. But you have to tell me why its better..yea. Let tehh boxxers start //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

For that 15 I would recommend some bracing, 45 degree corner in port, and a dual baffle. Other then that 120 is a very fair price, and from what I can tell it is 3.27 cubic feet after displacement and tuned to 32 Hz, 16.59 sq inches of port per cubic foot. So it should do the job quite well.

What amp will you be using?

You could build your own for the price of a sheet of mdf, some screws & some glue =
Oh I would, but its MUCH easier said than done. Plus I've never fabricated anything in my life. ****, if I had some major help, I would do it :\

buy my box that my vvx-15 3 cubes @ 32hz 35 + ship

I would but, I need the port and sub facing the same direction. That sub box would be perfect if I had a hatch, but I don't, I gotta sedan, and I'm trying to reduce vibrations from my trunk, and a up firing sub will have the worst effect.

That box is made from Skar themselves. Should I tell them that I want a brace and baffles? Even though I have no idea what that is. And I'll be using a Audiopipe Mini 1000 watt amp, running at 600 watts RMS at 2 ohms, for the life of the system.

SKAR has some great boxes for the money!

Or if you are willing to spend a few extra $, BassheadsENT.net is who I have do the SKAR Malibu //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
