I signed my soul to bestbuy and got a creditcard with an $800 limit, now with the system I have (decent beginner) I'm moving up to a 15" VVX powered by the same 1kwatt Alpine.

there are many factors when getting an enclosure. what kind of music you want it to reproduce. your over all goals. what kind of bandwidth you want. ect ect ect. the optimum box for the sub maynot be the optimum box for you.

Lol, I mean't for the life of the current alternator I have. Once I get a high output alternator, I'ma sell the 15, and get 2 Skar 12's and run like 750-800 watts RMS to each. And once I graduate from college, and have a decent car, I think I might do like 2 18's in the SUV, 2 15's in the Sedan, and 1 15' in the racer.

hehe, I already upgraded the sub from my computers speaker system, from a stock 8' tang bang to a RE 8' sub at 200 watts RMS, I reach 117dB at the port, and 99dB where I sit from the sub.

Because I would need to get a new enclosure, new wiring, new amp. If I heard the Skar VVX15 is as good as it is, I think I'll be set. I don't follow your idea here..but to each their own.

I would think picking up a single 12 since you want to run two later is the best option. Then you can just pick up an amp when you have funds..then a second sub...wire...and enclosure and done. Maybe I have just went through all this before so I see taking the easiest/cheapest way as the best result.

I'm sure it will work for you no matter what you do though.
