Size wire for my setup...

Here is what I will be running.

1 Alpine PXA-H700

2 Alpine MRA-F345 amps (fuses for both are 2 x 30 Amps ea.)

They accept 4 or 8 awg power

first amp 75 x 4

second amp 75 x 1 & 300 x 1

1 carputer with 150W opus DC PSU.

The speakers are 50W RMS so they will never see the full 75W and the sub will take 300W RMS.

For the power wire, is it possible to run 4awg to a distro block and 8awg to the amps without issues or would it be better to run 0awg to the distro and 4awg to the amps? The runs from the distro to the amps would be about 2 to 3ft. long and the main run from the battery to the distro would be about 16 to 18 ft. What size in-line fuse should I run? I was thinking 200A if I ran the 4awg but not sure on the wire handling that much.

Also, for the BIG 3, is 0awg worth the extra money over 4awg? Will I see that much more of a difference?

This is all going in a Toyota Matrix BTW and I was planning on getting KnuKonceptz wire for all of this.

I think if you can go big with the wires then it's best to just do it, there's nothing wrong with having overhead.

For the Big3 i would recommend that u use 0 gauge, it would be worth the money over the 4 gauge. Wish i could help more, but this is the extent of my knowledge //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

OK. Well, I know you all are watching the Nickelodeon Kids choice awards right now, so I'll bump this up to hopefully get another answer. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

X2. Room for upgrading is good since you probably will sometime in the future if you are like most people on here. I'd do 0 gauge from the batt all the way to where the amps are, then split it into however many 4 gauge wires you need, keeping them as short as possible. Fuse the 0 gauge within 12 inches of the battery with a 250 or 300 amp fuse. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fro.gif.c695f1f814b01c4ad99fe7f8cccadd29.gif

If you decide to do 4 gauge as the main run from the batt, use 125 amp as the maximum fuse size IMO.

add up all the fuses on each amp with the total u have ur main fuse size up front. as for the power wire run a 0gauge to a distro fused block with 60a fuses on each holder. then run ur 4 or 8 gauage to the amps considering its a short run to the amps to should be good with either or. fo the ground get a 0 gauge grounded to the back or trunk (make sure its a good ground) into a ground distro block and send out the wires. keep em the same gauge goin to the amps.
