Size Fuse To use

I have a 250a alt that does 263. Should I use a 250a or 300a fuse to the battery? If it matters it will be powering a Sundown 3KD and Kicker 650.4. Have a Kinetik 1800 upfront and Deka 9A31 in rear.

What size is your wire? Just fuse for the power handling of the wire. If it's 1/0 just go for a 300A fuse.

oh okay yes it's 1/0 wasn't sure to fuse by wire or alt output

Fusing is just to prevent the wire from burning up in the event of excess amperage; this is why you fuse for the wire size.

im runnin 4,000 watts....kinetik 2400..kinetik 3800..250amp mechman alt.

im buyin 2 of these...1 for tha front 1 for tha back.

i need to know if gettin the 300a would be enough? cuz i heard they have 400a too....and with tha power im runnin im not sure.
