Sitting batteries

i think they can always be charged back to good voltage
i think they should charge back up from no charge, since there a deep cycle. But does it matter how long its been sitting?

B/c of yellow top has the older sticker on the top of it that says 12 volt & deep cycle in big letters. & the red top seems to be a 75/35 of the newer style.

The Redtop isnt a deep cycle and if it is completely dead it may not hold a charge again. The yellow top should be able to be recharged back to health. Make sure to use a trickle charge.

I am thinking about buying a older yellowtop & a redtop locally. but the only thing is that the guy said they have been in his garage for a long time so they have zero charge. Would it be worth it to try & buy both these batteries for $40? or should I just skip them?
Find someone stupid that works at batteries plus or something and trade them out for two new ones. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Thats how I got my red top for $40 brand new.

Couldn't have said it better.

Also, depending on how easy it is for warranty at your local retailers, you can always try to swap the redtop out to see if there's anything left on the 3year replacement warranty.
