Im building a speaker enclosure(2.197c^3) for my 12" RE SX along with a cadencse txa-1000D amplifier and i would like to know if I should run the 8gauge speaker wire directly to the subwoofer which will go through the port to the sub?OR should I use a speaker terminal on the box? Since the Speaker Terminal probably will be a smaller diameter than the 8 gauge wire wont I be losing power? Also If I have 1 + and 1 - on the amp going to a dual voice coil 2 ohm sub, how should i split the cables from 1 +/1- to 2+/2-?

1.Amp->Through port->Sub

2.Amp->Speaker terminal->Sub

drill 2 small holes on the back of the box to feed the 8 gauge wire thru and then just use some sealant around the penetrations.
