Removing non-used speaker wire from harnesses

Any issues with doing this? None that I can think of but I figure it's always best to ask the experts.

Installing a new HU and I'm tired of having to try to find space to slip the excess crap into.

What do you mean harnesses? Like the harness that comes out of the back of the HU? Id just cut them and tape them together, making sure none of them could short out.

Yeah it looks like I'll have to cut the one coming from the HU...the other one I got from Crutchfield to connect to the stock wiring has little pins holding the wires in...was going to try to get those out and just have nothing in those holes...seems to be a pain to get them out easily.

we just rip out the ones were not using works like a charm, had to do it a number of times with the new gms that dont have the switched power

got those out now...just kind of have to push in , then pull out...not sure if I can do the same from the back of the Kenwood harness

good thing I can't get the Kenwood ones out...manual says not to let them come out even if you're not using them....guess I'll just trim them really short
