Sister crashed my Tahoe

You are getting some good advice from the guys above.... The insurance company will most likely total it. Without seeing it in person, I would slay it has frame damage.... At least your sister is OK.

Sometimes the contents (stereo) of your vehicle is included if they decide to "total" the wreck. If that is the case, buy the car back from insurance (usually about $120) and get your stuff back. Then sell the car. I made over $5000 on an RX7 that wasn't even worth $2500 this way (it was still drivable). //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Stereo stuff is only included if you included it when you insured it and few people do. If it was not, it is not legal for them to take it with the car because they have no claim over it. It's just like anything else in the car. If I had a radar detector on my windshield or in the glovebox or whatever and crashed, the insurance company doesn't get to keep it if they total the car. Not to say that it wouldn't possibly get stolen by someone in the process...

this is exactly why no one but me drives my car. I don't even let family members move it around the driveway because they're all idiots and i don't trust them, lulz. They didn't spend 600+ hours working on the car so they don't get why i'm so **** about the darn thing.

I highly doubt it will be "like $120" to buy it back. Don't sue your sister, it was a mistake, but definitely make them pay for every dime including adjustments to your insurance if that happens.

Btw, pics of said sister? F5, F5, F5 lol. Ah the old days of ca.com.

Your Insurance may want you to press charges against her.... This happend to my cousin few hrs ago. They wouldnt cover shiit until be made police report and press charges... Gota love Insurance companies!!!

Also, guys... If his sister is insured, then it's her insurance that's ultimately responsible here. Driver's insurance first, car owner's second. He certainly shouldn't be made to sue her. That's the insurance company's responsibility. But it is generally the law that if an accident is above $x (varies by state) that it must be reported, and they might demand that be done if it wasn't.

I'm disappointed it took this long for someone to ask. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif
