I think that both Audiopulse and JL are poor choices if your looking for SPL.

If he can fit a ten he can fit this and it is a great amp and good sub. Really this is like getting a JL 1000/1 and their 13W7 for very cheap. I had this amp with a 12 inch Brahma and a ID max and a Mag and it is still the real deal even though the forum boner is gone.
