single sub on budget

alright I'm going to break down and buy NEW subs. I have always bought used off buddies and pawn shops but i want something of my own now.

So my question is what sub would fit me best for a tahoe and only running one sub. I would update my amp as well. But i dont want to have to update me alternator or battery yet.

cliff note:

would sub do you recomend for a large vehicle without having to update alternator.

Budget not really looking to spend more than $700 on sub and amp.

I would replace amp as well. so as big as i would need to go for sub

i have like no more than 38" wide. i have the whole back end of the tahoe. i could fit a nice size box in there.

and what do you want from the sub stage? spl, sq?

unsure. im really just looking for it to get really really low. that might have more to do with enclosure but i only listen to rap and hip hop.

if i had to choose though id want and sql set up.

to get low, I would recommend an FiQ 15" and a good 1000wrms amp

the enclosure will need to be large...IMO no less than 5ft^3 and tuned in the mid 20's

edit: for sql, you CAN run this sub in a 4ft^3 enclosure @ 30hz, but it will lose a little bottom end.
