Single or dual 10''s w/ 1100 watts?

Alright heres the deal. I want to redo my sub install with the subs glassed into the area underneath the rear windows of my car (a coupe) in the space where the doorpanels are. I'm trying to figure out the best sub(s) for my application.

I might be able to get 1 cu ft of space per side to work with before displacement

I can't use anything with a mounting depth greater than 6.5"

I have 1100 total watts to use

First of all would I be better off using 2 10's with 550 a piece or 1 10 with 1100 going to it? And what subs would you suggest?

My current ideas are:

2 10" FI SSD's with 550 each

1 10" FI Q with 1100

2 10" SoundSplinter RL-i's with 550 each

2 10" TC-1000's with 550 each

humm i just bought 2 12'' Fi SSD i love em!!!

i would look at your cane area. w/ 2 ten's you will have a total of 20'' cone are compared to the single ten with more wattage going to it..

i would do the to tens. of you're choice....

Thanks. I have now pretty much decided on 2 10's. Now its a choice between the SSD, RL-i, and TC1000. I would be pretty much set on the SSD, but I'm not sure if 550 watts will move them enough to compete with the RL-i or TC1000 at that wattage. If I had more power it would be an easy decision. Anyone with some experience care to chime in?

After thinking about what I need for my enclosure requirements (shallow mounting depth and minimal enclosure requirements) it seems like the TC1000 and RL-i are going to be better choices than the SSD. Can anyone give me some input on these two woofers? They seem to be very similar. I have heard that aluminum cones make for better sealed drivers so this would give the TC1000 the upper hand in my application?

Correct me if I am wrong but I believe the rl-i has an aluminum cone.
oh, i guess it does. i must have missed that. the RL-i has a slightly smaller mounting depth and basket as well. unless the TC1000 has it beat by a good amount in output i guess the RL-i is the way to go...

That is incorrect information sir. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif
i didnt even see that he said that //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wow.gif.23d729408e9177caa2a0ed6a2ba6588e.gif . 2 10's is something like 150 sq in of cone area if i recall correctly.
