L7 + 1500RMS = good or bad..

Ive got my 12" 2006 L7 sitting in my garage. I was giving it 850 watts and it didnt seem to bang like it should.

If the gains were set correctly would the L7 take 1500wrms? Think it would be louder or as loud as 2 05 12" Type-Rs getting 750wrms each?

i think two type-rs would have advantage in cone area. Mayb u should check the box, i've heard L7s in kicker box and they're not really designed to get loud.

1 12 L7 won't be louder than 2 12"s Type R's.

But 1 15L7 would be.

Finally I think 1,500 watts for a single sub seems like too much you might fry it.

I think Im gonna go with the 2 Rs. Ive got 1 now so I just gotta get an amp and another one.

Umm, your sub amp does 850 RMS bridged.

Unless you have a different amp now?
