single l7 or 2 type s

Have a 600.1 kicker mono was pretty much set on getting one single 12" l7 but ran across a great deal on 2 05 12" Alpine Type s. Gonna have a decent ported box for either of the setups going in a 97 grand prix. Was wondering what you guys would suggest as a good balance between sq and spl. I listen to both rap and rock music. I heard so much aobut the type rs but their out of my price range(plus would be underpowered). What route would you guys go.

well 2 12"s over a single 12 L7... both will get loud, but having heard both in ported boxes im going with alpine

Granted they arent the greating sounding, they can still sound pretty good.
