I just finished checking fit on a new pair of eD EU-700 midbass woofers and noticed that the pair of speaker terminals stick WAAAY out, almost the outer diameter of the mounting plate.
In a box, you can shift the sub in (maybe), but in a lot of door pods, the mounting hole is tubular for a length and the terminals sit out too far to go in. It takes a pair of angle-pliers to twist the terminals down enough for clearance but then the coil feeds are tensioned.
Probably not the best design in the entire world. Still looking forward to hearing them jam though.
