Single DD 9512 on 2500wrms??

I have read quite a few places that people have ran their 9512's at 3k rms daily, I was curious if this is okay to run one at 2500wrms or is that too much?

If you are talking 2500 in amp rating it should not be an issue in a good box. I've had 2 9512s on 2 sundown 2500s strapped at 1 for close to a year now with no issues.

Well see the thing is that I have an Orion 2500d which is 2500 @ 1 or 1700@ 2, I currently have a 9512 D4, but I am looking at selling this one and getting a 9512 D2 so I can run at 1.

If the gains are set correctly, the sub will take all the power that amp can make.

still shouldnt have a problem just make sure ur not clipping the sub

It could probly take it im sure, but i wouldnt give it that much over rms. Although i do give my OA 12 a fat 1K so maybe it will be perfect

Alrighty, I will look at getting it done somewhere if I do end up getting the other 9512, I would love to just get a D4 instead so I can just have two and that way I KNOW I am not overpushing them.

Why don't you get yours reconed? It will be cheaper. Also are you going to run the amp on stock electrical?

Cause I have never reconed any subs before therefore I don't trust myself, and I AM running it on stock, but only at the 1700 right now.

Lol, okay you got me pumped, and now you start asking about it being cheaper? I paid 285 shipped for my DD, hoping to find another price like that, but I very seriously doubt it.
