so there are some things you do not fully understand about audio yet.
Every car is different and has different acoustics via sound waves, resonant frequencies etc... from the shape of the cabin to the materials used to build the car down to the fabric of the seat all have an affect on the vehicle acoustics.
With a passive crossover system you can only stick with one set crossover point and that crossover point may or may not work with the vehicle thats why you get mixed reviews about component speakers with some saying they are good, some saying they are bad. Its because of vehicle acoustics not matching.
Also with a crossover network you are limiting the amount of power each driver is getting by a lot because it passes through circuitry and filters causing loss in efficiency via heat so that 120 watts you are throwing to them, its more like 100.
With an active crossover network you can change the crossover point and slope so they work ideal and perfectly with your vehicle acoustics giving the best sound quality and loudness to the point where music is super loud and BUTTERY smooth and detailed. While you get even more power to your drivers being power straight up.
This is why all the audio competitors in both sound quality and super loud SPL systems go active networks. Its in EVERY way shape and form superior to junk passive crossovers where you are just stuck with whatever the manufacturer tunes it to.
Just wanted to know if the unit uses a 24 bit or 32 bit dac since
crutchfield and jvc doesnt list it.
