Single capable amp needed to push 2 12" bone crushers.

I just saw this right now, and if you are saying every after-market HU has had noise I would seriously look at your RCA cables radio ground amp ground etc...I would also recommend having alternator checked out as well as verify you run RCA cables away from amp power wire.
Yeah Bro I have taken these precautions...my car is only 2 years old.. All my audio equipment is top notch an then some.. Every single cable is insulated with cloth tape on top of its own insulation.. My guess is the RCA volt outputs.. I'v always an only used alpine headunits and amps.. High powered units. But apparently when running high power/frequency systems interference is inevitable. So what I did was limit my speaker output RCA to one an use RCA splitters off that one to control the whine with my fader... It's working there.. But I'm still stuck with an accasional static noise but I know for sure now the external equaliser is responsible for that I will be getting rid of it.. I'v got a 4 channel RCA ground loop on the way.. If it works then I'll restore my HU RCA outputs to how it should be.

Ok glad you have it isolated. I would hate for you to buy a HU and have the same issue again is all.

I'd like to know.. Cause I'm not entirely sure... If headunit a are giving off 4v RCA outputs... What are RCA amp inputs meant to handle..

4 volts in about the norm now for HU RCA V so no worries, some amps handle up to 9V but I think 5V is typical.

I have run my 80PRS to my old amps with lower rating input without issue.

The higher V the HU outputs the lower the amp gain and cleaner the sound.

its a lot more limited audio options wise. 9 band eq vs 13. no active networks either.
$240 brand new.... Bargain? Will do the job? 13band eq.

If you plan to run components in the front (separate midrange/mid-bass driver and tweeter) then an active network capable HU is awesome!
Okay then I'll stick with cheffs choice cause I'm running mids with splits in both rear and front.

@Papermaker85

how is that line of jvc?

Seems pretty similar to yours but it doesnt list the DAC they use inside.
So much better than passive x-overs and no need to use x-overs on amps
I'm actually surprised to see another brand of head unit offering active network mode other than pioneer aka the jvc ones. Kenwood doesnt have it but jvc does.. thats wierd.

Do you mean running splits from the amp? Cause I'm using ALPINE SPR 60C so the splits run Str8 off the mids.
