Single Box Vs. Two

Does a single box really increase sound quality by a lot? I have heard that it does. I have two different size/shaped boxes for my two 12" RF's and the sound is great.....

My friend says i should build a single box because it will sound so much better....

if the 2 boxes are totally different specs it's gotta sound like ***.

You still want to keep each one of the subs in their own separate chamber and as long as you keep the recommended air space you should be fine.

I hope he is not talking about one single chamber for both 'cause then it will not be better.

Not at all, its actually pretty cool, its not like im getting two completely different sounds, but i can hit different lvls.

if you had EITHER two identical boxes(split-chamber or separate boxes) or a single chamber box for both subs, it would sound better.
