Single 4 ohm vs. dual 2 ohm

Any advantages of one versus the other(both wired to 4 ohm)? I was just wondering, besides the dual coil being more flexible than the single coil. Would you see any performance difference at the speaker?
If you're comparing the same line of woofer except different voice coil configurations there will be slight variations between a single 4 ohm VC and dual 2 Ohm VCs wired in series. You can see this if you compare T/S parameters. These differences aren't enough to justify picking one over the other.

2x 4 ohm coils can be wired parallel to 2 ohms or series to 8 ohms. There's many amps with 2 ohm power you can use.

Oh, just for future reference. Put $800 OBO, or you will only get that $600, or less. ;)
