Single 12" Sundown X

2 12's have more cone area than a single one. So weather it's "better" is irrelevant. It's really what your after. For example, just a loud daily street beater/pounder, sq, slq, on a budget, tight on space, etc.

Had two zv4 12s in 4.5cubes tune to 32hz and it was ok.... Then put them in 6 cubes tuned to 28hz with 70" of port... It was night n day difference all across the board. Loud n low. The X and zv4 like the same boxes

Looking for a loud daily setup mainly for regular rap music and nothing chopped or screwed/decaf, and slowed. Im not sure if his is true but the Zv4/zv5 is more musical than the X and will play the higher notes better is that right?

Yes it will work for you better than the X. As far as how many you want to run all depends on the room you want to give up. Have you measured it out?

Yes I have measured it out. Its 17H 35W 17D. Just top off your head what would the measurements be for a single 12 ZV5. Also I'm not too experienced with this but what are the main differences between the X and the ZV5. Is it just the ZV5 will be more musical and play the higher notes better but at the same time will murder the lows the same or better than the X?

4.66 gross which gives you room for one 12 @2.5 net comfortably. Both subs will do very well on the low lows but I'd go with the ZV for what you listen to mostly.

fk those choices, get an SSA Zcon or Xcon instead and not have to worry about sub not playing this or that. Rather than getting picky subs, just get subs that are known to sound amazing musically.
