Single 12" and amp advice

Current bass setup:

QBOMB 12VL box

Rockford P3 12" @ 2 ohms

RE Audio SA500.5

This is hitting harder than you'd think for the power and gets nice and low but it's in a very large truck (think Suburban-sized interior). It's barely enough sound to fill the truck, it isn't even close to slamming once you get out and close the doors.

So the plan is to keep the amp running the other speakers, replace the subwoofer, get another amp to run it and turn my truck into Indiana Jones And The Temple Of BOOM. The bad news is there's no room for a bigger box or more speakers so it has to be a single 12" and the ported Qbomb (1.8 cu ft of air space) fits perfectly so I'd like to stay with that box. I listen to a lot of dubstep and edm, some 80's music (lol bass where are you?) and dance music.

My local shop is recommending an Audio Logic AL2500.1D @ 2 ohms for $600 and some subwoofer brand I've never heard of but costs $550.

With a budget somewhere around a grand (less is better of course but I'm willing to pay more for quality sound), what sort of sub/amp combo would you recommend? Looking for something that will last, not burn up in a year.

I had never heard of the brand of subwoofer they recommended so I forgot what it was. No biggie since I'm just looking for a sub/amp combo that will go well with my box and budget.

I had heard of Audio Legion amps so remembered it. From what I've heard, they're decent enough but new and untested in the long term. Since I travel far from home for extended periods, I'm hesitant about investing in a new product with no track record.

Just looking for any and all recommendations for subs that will work well with my box and amps to pair it with.

Honestly, you can't just pick a sub for an enclosure that you already have dude. But anyway, a sundown x12v2d2 and scv2000 would do well, but you would want a box built specifically for that sub, you can go to their website for box size, tuning, and port recommendations.

those q bomb boxes only have 16 sq in port and it's tuned at about 45hz, believe me if it was tuned even at 36hz i'd get one but they aren't, u need lower tuned box with more port area..

If it was Audio Legion, they are great amps. Every bit as good as the other korean amps, and better than alot of them because AL used upgraded components. I loved my 3500, and regret selling it

yeah make sure it's same brand but u can buy it online.. or get like skar 1500 or 2k with any sub but ddx 12 probably do good or 2 vvx 12 or 15 or sundown 1k (does 1200) with the x or sa or 2 sa..check out bstock on car audio bargin

Stay away from a shop. You will pay crazy mark up price. This ******* at at my work paid $700 for a kicker amp that goes for $189.. $2300 for a sub amp install. And it sounds like dog ****.. I realized that's not all shops but you will pay fat Mark up. That's how they get paid

biggest problem is not long enough u can make port longer but then u end up with smaller box., u may need little larger box maybe even with side port but slotted port (i haven't seen any of those that are tuned low either seen some than claim like 37hz but i doubt it) and u can get like a skar vvx, ddx or sundown e with like 800rm mp be good on those.. skar sells a package with 800amp and sub in your exact box for $349 but u just need amp and sub,, if $ is issue get sundown E b stock and skar 800.1 $139 or amp like mine $153 run 930rms to any of those subs it'll be loud (if u don't have port blocked on the side) but u maybe having cancelation problems like friend with truck has, i just have to try aiming port different directions, try sub facing side port back, then sub forward port up do it with sub u have now see if any difference

1.8 is what Id be looking to run a 600-1k ten in sub in pretty much from 34-36 htz generally.A Dayton HO 10 may do well in that space/sealed on some power
