A few things thou, I know kitchen cabinets are expensive so I understand, but they would have had to GO. Also diagonal tiles are a must.

But since you blew the budget, AGAIN I understand! I would have NO probs living there, GOOD JOB!

Looks like it will be a nice place to get away at. btw, Those stairs...The spindles do not look like they are code..No more then 4" between them..The inspector passed that?

Its in the country and there are no "inspections". The house was built in '73 and its first remodel was in '85.

The cabinets and tile are what my mother picked out and they look very nice in the place. Yes, they went way over budget. Budget was $~60, ended up well over $90k. They were 1/2 owner and purchased the other half from relatives for $260k. So they are well over $300k in, but value now after remodel is well above what they have put into it.

House is in Hot Springs, AR on Lake Hamilton.

Its ******* amazing. I have my little 16' basstracker there and have been fishing all summer when I wasnt working. Large and Small mouth are abundant here.

Such a nice ******* house man. You having fun remodeling it? I'd love doing all that.

Its been tedious, but well worth it. Its very stressful because both my parents are out of shape and to old to do it, so I have been doing a lot of the workload.

hot springs is a nice place, we go there a few times a year when we travel form here to texas. Normally stay a few days and on with the trip..but really nice place.

Nice house too. Your parents definitely dropped some money on the remodel.
