This is a simple SQ set up that I'm currently working on, please let me know if I'm heading towards the right direction.
Headunit:
I came down to these:
Pioneer 880PRS
Eclipse CDA7000
Kenwood 25th Anniversary XXV-01D
Kenwood KDC-X889 or X890
Clarion DXZ-865MP
Front:
Seas Lotus Reference running passive cross-overs
Rear:
None
6 1/2" midbass
6 1/2" Coxial
Sub:
1 - ID IDQ 10inch in a .66cu ft enclosure
Amp:
1 - Helix hxa500 mkII
140W RMS bridged x 2 for front
250W RMS x 1 for sub
My main goal of this system is all SQ and simplicity, I know the size of the sub might not be a choice for many but I really want to keep my trunk space as much as I can..since I barely have any to begin with this explains my choice for the 10inch IDQ which is design for small enclosures. I'm still having a tough time deciding on which HU and if I should go for rear fill. My max budge for a HU is probably around 700-800 bux. I know Clarion and Pioneer has flag ship HU (DEX-P9 and DRZ-9255) that can be had for around if not a little more than my price range but it seems like those HU can only play CDs and not MP3s?
