Just bought a 97 blazer. It has the sideposts which i hate. I was wondering if its okay to put the power cable on top of the rubber piece as shown in the picture?? since the bolt is going into the battery it should still be fine the rubber part wont ground it out? or should i put it under the rubber thing more towards the battery. we have a 87 silverado and it was a pain to put the power wire under the rubber thing against the terminal.

just spend the few dollars on the right piece.....
what right piece thats all stock shit. i found a diehard battery that has those same side posts so i could run the truck off the sides and the battery has top posts so i could run stereo off top posts. i wanted to use this battery for now since i just got the truck.

EDIT: nvm saw your piece. thanks ill look into it.
