sick of this sh!t, what are the most reliable decks, iyo

pioneer ftw

ive had mine for awhile no probably, not even the engine whine. i heard on a forum that the engine whine comes from the installer not doing a good job.

but who really knows
It has nothing at all to do with the installer. Whoever told you that was blowing smoke up your arse. Putting a HU in, isnt a science. In fact its quite difficult to screw it up, especially when using a vehicle specific harness. Pioneers issue is internal and they are well aware of it.

I had a engine whine on my pioneer also .. I did the install, and no how to do it.. I upgraded my groud just to see if it would help (

(12 ga.) and it was gone.. But, even with that id have to give my $0.02 to eclipse.. Been very solid good quality HU's for me

Heh... Tell Shawn Flemming that. Putting a Pioneer N3 into a Caddi. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/mad.gif.c18f003ab0ef8a0d9c27ca78d77a6392.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

That might be in your case or even other similiar ones. But Pioneer is aware of production defects. ALOT of 860-8600/960-9600s were replaced last year with "known" issues.

Eclipse...pfft...CD3434 was great except for it taking days to load songs....a lot of times it would never start playing a song and you would have to turn it off and turn it back on. Tried using a cleaning disk...didnt do jack. No pause either. FTL. Im loving my kenwood, minus the display.

anything electronic can mess up, fact of life
A CD player messing up after only 2 years of use is inexcuseable. Especially with todays solid state devices that are much more tolerant to the car environment. My dad had an OLD Roxford Fosgate amp from the 70's. Still works. Doesnt like impeadances below 8ohm and puts out a whopping 14v. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif

Although yes its inexcusible its not on a regular basis either. I deal with them literally everday.

I think your referring to RoCKford Fosgate? Rather than RoXford? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif In which case the Rockford name didnt exists then, it was simply Fosgate. Just some //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

Sounds like you have more issues than just the HU.. Sounds like a user problem who doesnt take care of his sh!t... Cuz i had my 8443 in my grand am which was basically used as a work/mileage car ( since i drive 80-90 miles per day just for work ) Would get pounded with drywall dust, dirt sawdust etc.... and still worked top notch.. I think u need to learn how to take care of ur Sh1t

My Eclipse CD8053 had a pause button. When a CD was inserted the number 3 key was play/pause.

My deck before that was an Alpine CDA-9827 and it lasted me for a little over four years before needing to be replaced.

The pioneer that I have now sucks ***. I am considering the 880PRS but it has got alot of catching up to do to even compare to my 8053

if there was even a pioneer HU to do it .. I think you have the right one.... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif .. but i still love my 8443 .. Even after all the dirt, dust and abuse its taken... Still works top notch.. I know it make it sound like im Pigpen, but this is only in my "work car " //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
