sick of this sh!t, what are the most reliable decks, iyo

get a pioneer or a kenwood or a panasonic and take care of it. all there is to it.
//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif alot of pioneer head units have engine whine / noise problems due to bad grounds on their boards inside the units. Even if you know the "fix" for it they still have the issue. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

i've never had a problem with any of my headunits. they've all been either stolen, or upgraded.

may want to run some fresh 12ga. to your head unit straight from your fusebox, or hook up a small cap to make sure they're getting clean power consistantly..... voltage drops may be killing them too....

and have your alty tested and make sure you're not sending all your electronics alternator ripple, they tend not to like that.

like i said, i do take really good care of my decks, baby the sh!t out of them

think ill try eclipse next, bet takin the face on and off all the time screws it up over time

hate the higher end pioneer knobs

(enter Prowler's unsurprising Kenwood recommendation)

As I am an unwaveringly loyal fan of Kenwood (haven't owned another brand of HU since I was a teenager excepting a CDA-7875 that I picked up at a garage sale b/c it was cheap and it worked) I guess I got very lucky in the fact that I never owned any of their units that featured the infamous D-Mask+ faceplate mechanism which proved so problematic for them.

Until they give me a good reason to look elsewhere for my deck buying needs I'll stick with 'em. The oldest one I still own is a several years-old cassette deck that gets used on my test bench and it still works flawlessly for me. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/thumbsup.gif.3287b36ca96645a13a43aff531f37f02.gif

pioneer ftw

ive had mine for awhile no probably, not even the engine whine. i heard on a forum that the engine whine comes from the installer not doing a good job.

but who really knows
